So glad to e-meet you!  This is Donna Rosa, the President of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of UNA-USA, and I'm thrilled to launch our new website.

OK, I admit I'm a blogging virgin.  I wish I had something cool to put here, like the diplomatic version of  MTV's first video, "Video Killed the Radio Star".  I have nothing profound or ironic; just a deep interest in all things UN and building the chapter to everything it can be.

I know one thing.  We need you.  We need members with the will to do good in their hearts and souls.  People with great ideas and strong opinions.  Smart folks who know all about foreign policy and international development and right and wrong.  Individuals who can reach around the globe and across the street to create a piece of peace. And citizens who can rally their elected officials and community members to support the UN and its critical role as a place for nations to gather to promote human rights, social progress, and better relations.

So.  Join us.  We have volunteer positions available if you can devote some time (see About Us).  What are you passionate about?  The situation in Sudan or Syria or Somalia?  The hunger in Africa?  The rebuilding of Haiti or Japan?  The war in the Middle East?  Contact me with your ideas: UNA.USA.NNJ@gmail.com or post something right here.  Or connect on LinkedIn or Facebook.  I'm right with ya.
